For our Artober contribution The Sacramento Art History Consortium developed a blog series which spotlights a Sacramento artist each day in October. Our goal is to provide insight to the individual behind the art that we view hanging in our galleries and museums. Through the Q&A interview we posed a series of questions which highlight personal contributions to the art community, gives insight on each artist’s creative process, and discovers which Sacramento artists interest them. We also presented the question “What advice do you have for emerging artists?”; so that they can provide others with an insider’s perspective through their own experiences in the arts.

The spotlighted artist series is composed of both established and emerging artist of various mediums; and were selected by SAHC in collaboration with Molly Knorr, Marichal Brown and Gabriel Sanford. Those who participated were kind enough to open their studios and in many cases their homes so that we can provide our audience a glimpse into their creative space. Consequently, developing our month long series so that you can see just who is   behind some of the amazing art that Sacramento has to offer.
